Lego microbiologists This is one of the best examples I've seen of the type of AV we want to generate with GK-12. It uses lots of humor, but at the same time has several pieces of content knowledge embedded in the presentation.

Hamster, no sir! This is an example of what we don't want. There is no real science content in here.

Cow's eye This is a interested how-to format. The idea of doing this time lapse videos for moelcular biology procedures is a good one.
Time-lapse molecular This is another time-lapse, but now showing a molecular bench. Unfortunately it is not possible to tell what they are running. There needs to be some keystone frames in any time-lapse we make.

Mitosis anim This shows the steps of mitosis. It has some rock music background. But it is not presenting the material in a very novel way.
Mitosis rocks? This is just like the previous one, but breaks away into something nonscientific.

real worms This is what we might get if we let students play around with AV. There is no real content here.

Human genome projectThis is really some great footage and a good story. However, it is boring and dry. A different narrator and a new script would really make this valuable.

Life in a drop of water Another great concept, but not exploited very well here.

Parts of a Microscope This is one of the best in terms of tone. It is funny and vsiually interesting. It is short and gives valuable information. This seems like a pretty good model for us.

Trip to campus There is something good in here. It is the kind of perspective we might expect from student podcasts. It degenerates in the end to flirting with guys in passing cars, but until then it had some kind of value.

Singing Biologist This is very creative. It states that only biologists can sing a good song or somesuch. Very interesting an artsy piece, although there does not seem to be any content.

Life on Mars Be warned, this is R-rated at least. But it is very funny. It could be a model, if it were toned down.

Only Google Video on Micro It just so happens that the only Google Video short video on microbiology was from Schneegurt's student Partha about his trip to the ASM meeting and day he took off to go to Disney!
